Greetings and Gratitude for Heroism, Courage, and Will!

The Feast of the Intercession, known for a long time, was celebrated with special reverence. The most devoted supporters of the holiday were the Cossacks, who erected temples and churches in honor of the Holy Intercession. The Day of the Intercession has its important historical events in the history of Ukraine. On this day, the Ukrainian Insurgent Army was officially formed, and over the years, this holiday has become not only religious but also national.

Today, we honor the Defenders of Ukraine.

But what does this holiday mean today?

Before the war, it was a celebration of joy when we welcomed men and prepared small gifts. But now this holiday has taken on new meaning. We are grateful to our defenders for the opportunity to live in peace, for the opportunity to speak our native language. This is a holiday of peace and gratitude. When you meet a serviceman on the street, just smile at them, greet them with a nod of your head.

Recently, videos were circulating on the internet where children handed notes of gratitude to the soldiers.

Do you remember their eyes? How the expression on their faces changed from sternness to childlike shyness. It's important for everyone to hear words of gratitude. There's no need to be stingy with kind words—speak words of gratitude, speak them with your eyes and actions.

Thank you to our defenders. May the Feast of the Intercession protect and preserve you for your families and for Ukraine.
